Andy Durham is one of the most respected tennis professionals in the United States. He is a USPTA High Performance Coach, USPTA Elite Coach and an LTA, PTR, and BTCA certified coach.
Hundreds of coaches around the world have been fortunate enough to benefit from Andy's rich tennis experience and extensive knowledge of the game. Andy served as a USPTA tester and even developed an alternative to the much-criticized British tennis system, providing five day coach training courses to hundreds of new coaches in England and throughout Europe.
Andy co-founded National Junior Tennis and Learning in New Orleans, bringing tennis to over 300 children in year one, and while in New Orleans, Andy was responsible for producing the end of year USTA rankings for the USTA rankings committee.
Andy also spent time in England where he hired and trained statisticians to produce live match statistics for HBO's coverage of Wimbledon and served as the director of the Federation Cup Exhibition Court at Nottingham, organizing activities for over 5000 participants.
He is a former national mixed doubles champion and Wimbledon qualifying competitor and his students include Joey Blake, boys world No. 4 and Sara Gomer, women's world No. 72.
A graduate of Purdue University, Andy is also the author of multiple tennis publications, including "Play to Win: Tennis" and several papers presented to the LTA including "The Business of Coaching" and "New Tennis Training Program". Andy also wrote monthly articles for Tennis World Magazine. He is currently the head professional at the Cindy Hummel Tennis Center in Auburndale, Florida.
