Pam Boteler is a 32-times US national sprint canoe champion, and the first woman to compete against (and defeat) men in the U.S nationals. She currently works for the Department for Defense in leadership development, and has studied the use of mindfulness for military personnel, veterans and their families. Pam is the President of WomenCAN International and works tirelessly as a global voice for equality in Olympic Canoeing. She serves as a role-model for women to pursue their Olympic dream. Vanessa Chakour has been cultivating her multi-dimensional approach to coaching for over 15 years. As a former competitive fighter, she uses boxing as an entry point to teach self awareness. Dr. Zibin Guo
is a medical anthropologist specializing in Chinese medicine/healing traditions; culture and mental health; disability; and cross-cultural aging. A former Harvard lecturer, he is currently a professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Dr. Guo honed his art in China, training the Nanjing police force in internal martial arts. Sam Parfitt is the director of athletics at St.Peter's School in Chattanooga, and the founder of The True Athlete Project. He is an NCAA Division I women's tennis coach and three times British Tour winner. Tim Chakwin is a lacrosse coach, English teacher and dean of residential life at the prestigious McCallie School in Chattanooga. Dr. Aaron Althouse is a former Stanford University 400 metre runner and soccer coach to a team of "at-risk" Hispanic youths. Impressively, combining his knowledge of youth athlete training and passion for soccer, he has taken the team to a ranking of 4 in the USA.
