Here, tennis professionals from around the world gathered to discuss how best to grow the sport of tennis. The recurring themes of the conference, such as; how we create effective sport parents, how to take the game to poorer communities, and why we need to develop the person before the athlete, and the athlete before the tennis player, demonstrated why The True Athlete Project is so relevant for the sport of tennis.
On April 30th, Sam Parfitt, Tim Chakwin and Dr. Zibin Guo were invited to speak to the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools in Brentwood, Nashville. The team presented a six-hour workshop to around twenty independent school educators from Tennessee and Georgia. A mix of talks and practical exercises demonstrated the value of a holistic approach to sports programming for children pre-school through high school. Read some of our evaluations here.
